NATIONAL CANDIDATE FOR WALLACE
MR T. L. MACDONALD TO BE ASKED TO STAND (P.A.) INVERCARGILL, June 17. Mr T. L. Macdonald, M.P. for Mataura, is to be asked to agree to nomination as the National candidate for Wallace. This . decision was reached by a meeting of Wallace electors held in Invercargill ' MR MURDOCH NOMINATED FOR MARSDEN (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 17. Only one nomination, that of the sitting member, Mr A. J. Murdoch, has been received as the National Party’s candidate for the Matsden electorate for the general election. LABOUR CANDIDATE FOR CLUTHA , (P.A.) " DUNEDIN, June 17. It was officially announced to-day that John Park Thompson, who during the last month has been Labour Party organiser in the Clutha electorate, has been nominated as tne Labour candidate for the seat at the General Election. His nomination is subject to the approval of the Labour Selection Committee* in Wellington.
