WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate north-east winds. Weather overcast, with occasional showers. Temperatures cool. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather was fine and sunny yesterday, with a liight easterly breeze. The maximum temperature was 55 degrees. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky was overcast with a light north-east breeze. The barometer, falling, registered 29.75 in (1008.5 millibars).
