Y.M.C.A. REUNION

CHAPLAINS AND SECRETARIES HONOURED The Fellowship of the Young Men’s Christian Association Ex-Service Personnel (Christchurch branch) held a reunion dinner last evening, when chaplains who served overseas in the recent war and association secretaries of the Great War’ were guests of honour. There was an attendance of about 40 at the function. The president of the fellowship (Mr G. Gray) welcomed the guests and referred to the comradeship during the war of chaplains and Y.M.C.A. secretaries. He trusted that the spirit of co-operation could be extended into civil life. The Dean of Christchurch (the Very Rev. A. K. Warren) responded for the chaplains, and Mr J. L. Hay for Y t M.C.A. secretaries of the Great War.

An inspirational address was given by Mr George Briggs, assistant-national secretary of the Y.M.C.A. of New Zealand.
