WINTER COMPETITIONS Results of the winter tennis competitions on Saturday were as follows: A GRADE Elmwood v. Woolston II • Singles.—A. R. Cant beat A. T. Goddard, 6-4, 6-3; G. E. R. Atkinson beat G. J. Inglis, 6-1, 6-1; W. P. Jones beat C. Deering, 6-2, 6-1; I. H. Johnston beat K. B. Allin, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1. Doubles.—Cant and Atkinson beat Goddard and Inglis, 6-0, 6-3; Jones and Johnston beat Deering and Allin, 6-2, 6-4. Elmwood won by 6 rubbers to 0. Ledston v. Woolston I Singles.—W. K. Stevens lost to A. L. Blackwell, 3-6, 4-6; E. Maindonald lost to A. C. Lee. 1-6, 2-6; L. Argyle lost to N. McCann. 0-6, 4-6; I. McKay lost to A. N. Bailey, 8-6, 3-6, 4-6.
