PROSPECTS AT OAMARU
RACING
TRING AND MONEY BIRD FAVOURED The Oamaru Jockey ,Club’s winter meeting wjll be held at Oamaru to-day. The prospects are that the track will provide good winter going—it is of the type that does not get unduly heavy. It is probable that the two trotting events will have to be run in divisions: and that in two races, the Hack and Hunters’ Steeplechase and the Grange Handicap, there will be only two place dividends. The other events are well filled, and the Oamaru Winter Cup and the hack events should provide good racing. The following riding engagements have been made:—H. Ford. Lost Art. Night Fighter, Juriste. Douglas Haig; K. Thomson, Prince Dolomite; R. Hawes, Bravura; C. McDonald, Belle Leonne, Trueway, Montezuma, Royal Vestments; G. Hampton, Falconbridge, Kyron, Finalist; C. Stokes, Foreign Ways; A.
