SMASH AND GRAB RAID

VALUABLE CAMERA TAKEN (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 14. A valuable camera was stolen from the window of Webb’s Photographic Supply shop at the corner of Queen and Customs streets in a smash and £rab raid in the early hours of this morning. A big plate glass window, behind which a variety of cameras was on display, was shattered with a heavy Wrench, which was later found on the pavement, and one of the most expensive cameras was taken. The police night patrol car was called, but found no trace of the thief. BRICK USED ON SHOP WINDOW (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 14. A jeweller’s shop window in Wakefield street, Wellington, was broken by a brick during Thursday night and some watches and signet rings stolen. It was the fourth occasion that thefts had occurred from the same shop.
