I.L.O. CONFERENCE IN MONTREAL

WORKERS’ DELEGATE APPOINTED CPA.) WELLINGTON, June 13. Mr H. Thompson, of Wellington, was elected by the New Zealand Federation of Labour to-day to represent New Zealand workers at the twenty-eighth annual conference of the International Labour Organisation in Montreal in September. * Mr Thompson has given many years’ service to the trade union movement, both in Wellington and over the whole Dominion. He is secretary of the New Zealand Plumbers’ Union, the New Zealand Dental Workers’ Union, and president of the New Zealand Building Trade Workers’ Federation. He was also elected to-day to the national executive of the New Zealand Federation of Labour.

An invitation to nominate an employees’ representative for the Montreal conference was extended to the federation by the Government.
