SPANIARDS CHARGED IN MADRID
ATTEMPT AT MILITARY REVOLT ALLEGED (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, June 11. Nine former Spanish Republican officers and four civilians, including a woman, were charged before a military ’tribunal with attempting a military rebellion, reports Reuter’s correspondent in Madrid. The prosecution asked for gaol sentences ranging from one to 12 years for the officers and fines for the civilians except the woman, for whom it asked a sentence of three years’ gaol.
