Work of Price Tribunal

The belief that there had been interference with the Price Tribunal was expressed by Mr C. M. Bowden, M.P., Wellington West, in an address at Shirley last evening. He said the tribunal had a difficult job, and he thought it would be beneficial if it were given a sound policy and not interfered with. Mr Bowden said the Price Tribunal was necessary in some form now that there was a shortage of goods, but people should not think it was a war measure. Actually the Price Tribunal was set up before the war and was part of the socialist system of controlling profits.
