MILITARY AID BY RUSSIA
Polish Troops To Begin Training SOVIET ARMS FOR JUGOSLAVIA (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 11. “Six classes of Polish troops are to be trained immediately,’’ says the Associated Press correspondent in Warsaw. “The Polish Defence Minister (Marshal Rola-Zymierski), revealing the new training plans after his return from conferences in Moscow, said that he could not for military reasons disclose the types of arms and military aid which Poland would receive from Russia, but the equipment would be the most modern and the best. Russia was furnishing the armaments on long-term credit.” Russia and Jugoslavia have ratified an agreement under which Russia will supply the Jugoslav Army with munitions, arms, and equipment, assist Jugoslavia to build up its armaments industry, and supply Jugoslavia with raw materials for other industries.
