NEW CARGO SHIP FOR NEW ZEALAND TRADE—The Katui photographed on her arrival at Wellington from Newport, Monmouthshire. Originally ordered by the Admiralty for operations in the South-east Asia Command, the Katui was bought by the Union Steam Ship Company, Limited, and will be used in the New Zealand and Australian coastal trade. She is 240ft long and can carry more than 1000 tons. The ship was launched in Scotland last November.
