National Savings
National savings quotas were obtaned at 255 places throughout the Dominion last week. At all the principal centres and in each of the 20 postal districts the receipts exceeded the allotted amounts. Nineteen country towns have now reached or exceeded their full annual quotas, the latest being Kurow (Oamaru district), Apiti and Sanson (Palmerston North district), Ranfurly and Roxburgh (Dunedin district), and Bombay (Auckland district).—(P.A.)
