ORANGES FOR SOUTH ISLAND
Sir.—Seeing in “The Press” to-day that a quantity of oranges, etc., is arriving in Auckland on June 14, I appeal, to the powers that be to consider those in the South Island, as fruiterers tell us that the oranges rarely reach this island. I have a large family and house full of influenza at present. We have not seen an orange since last Christmas, and I do beg for some to help us during this influenza epidemic.—r Yours, etc., T ANXIOUS MOTHER. June 10, 1946.
