CLAYBOURNE BEATS NEWMAN (P.A.) DUNEDIN, vune 10. After a bright, display of wrestling, Jade Claybourne to-night defeated Leo Newman by two falls to one. Newman secure;! the first fall, after four minutes of the third round had gone, with a toehold and body press. The negro, who moved witn speed and smoothness, obtained the equalising fall in the fifth round. Newman came off the ropes for a flying tackle, but Claybourne cleared him with a flying leap, and came back off the rope* with ’ a drop-kick to take a fall with a body press. Claybourne obtained the deciding fall in the eighth round. Newman used a series of elbow jolts, but Cap bourne, moving like a flash, hurtled #ron the ropes with a deadly drop-kick, to pw his opponent with a body press.
