The net trading profit of the Devonport Steam Ferry Company, Ltd., was £10,584 for the year ended April 30, a decrease of £4947, and this amount was struck after providing £5989 for depreciation and £18,50(k for taxation, against £9172 and £21,000 respectively in the previous year. The gross profit, after paying beer duty, of New Zealand Breweries, for the year ended March 31, was £1,050,461, compared with £1,005,967 the previous year.
