Meredith, Waimate, addressing the South Island Dairy Association in Dunedin. “Our Minister of Finance seems bent on reducing our national debt to Britain. Catalina flying-boats which are being sent to Sydney to bring home 27 New Zealand servicemen who have been stranded there will leave Auckland at dawn to-day. The second Catalina will leave on Tuesday and will return with the remainder of the men on Thursday.—(P.A.)
