Asleep in Jesus. HARMER—On June 5, 1946, at 23 Worcester, street. Ruth, widow of George Haniner; in her 86th year. Private interment. Lamb and Hayward, Ltd., 292 Cashel street. HARDY—On June 5, at his residence, 69 Canterbury street, Lyttelton. Charles, beloved husband of Mary Hardy; in his 70th year. (Suddenly.)
PEARCE—On June 6, 1946, at Christchurch, John Lydiard Pearce, 486 St. Asaph street, husband of the late Alice Elizabeth Pearce, and loved father of Jack, Bill, and Len; aged 76 years. (Late of Halswell and Geraldine.) SLOAN—On June 5, 1946, at Birches Camp, Anama, James Sloan; aged 48 years. (Suddenly.) STANNA WAY—On June 6, 1946, at Christchurch, Josiah Stannaway, of Lynton Downs, Kaikoura, eldest son of the late John and Catherine Stanna way, Outram. Interment at Outram.
