MUFTI ALLOWANCE
Sir, —Could you give me information regarding mufti allowance? On my return, I was paid £l2 10s. Are returned men who were discharged before the increase was granted entitled to the extra £l2 10s?—Yours, etc., C. LEARY. June 14, 1943. [The War Cabinet has decided that the increased allowance is to be retrospective. You are therefore entitled to the extra allowance. The Prime Minister, however, said that in the case of men whose service overseas had been of short duration, a proportional adjustment would be madc.l
