ARMED FORCES APPEALS
DECISIONS OP NO. I BOARD More appeals for grade 1 men held on appeals were heard by the No. 1 Armed .Forces Appeal Board yesterday. Mr E. A. Lee presided, and with him were Messrs G. M. Hall and J. E. Jones. Mr \V. F. Tracy represented the Crown. Cases heard by the board yesterday were as follows (all appellants are grade 1 unless otherwise stated): —Alfred George Habgood, farmer (appellant), dismissed, appellant not to be called before July 31: Alexander Dqnaldson, orchard hand (Papanui Orchard Company, Ltd), held over; David Pattulo, poultry farmer (appellant), adjourned sine die; Alexander Peddle, Jun., cream grader (Tal Tapu Dairy Company), stood down; Reginald William Silas Goodland, carpenter (V. T. Molr, Ltd.), adjourned sine die; George Ebert, storeman (appellant), adjourned sine die; Allen Hunter Downes, chemist (E. Cameron Smith, Ltd), adjourned sine die; Henry Benjamin Buckley, radio physicist (Canterbury University College), withdrawn: Thomas Harland. jun., farm hand (Director of National Service), withdrawn; James Allan Kibblewhlte, printer’s machinist (Turners, Ltd.), reserved: James Albert Flneran (F. J. Fineran) and Charles John Fineran (appellant), market gardeners, adjourned for review In two months, one of the reservists to be released; John Gordon Lill, sheepfarmer (appellant), adjourned for two months: Harold William Edward Crow, bank clerk (Bank of New Zealand), postponed till June 30; Richard Murray Povall, poultry farmer (Mrs E. Free), dismissed; Colin Wilfred Neale (H.G.), adjourned for threa months, appellant to be excused parades in the meantime; Arthur Thomas Vincent (H.G.), dismissed, appellant to be excused parades till November 30.
