NEW ZEALAND AND SOVIET
EXCHANGE OP DIPLOMATIC REPRESENTATIVES The New Zealand Society for Closer Relations with Russia is conducting a campaign for an exchange of diplomatic representatives between New Zealand and the Soviet Union. Leaflets distributed by the Christchurch branch state that New Zealand is the only Dominion that has no diplomatic representative in Moscow, although the Federation of Labour and the Labour Party have recommended exchange of representatives. The leaflets state also that five months have passed since the Minister of Supply (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) announced that very soon the Government would issue a formal statement on the appointment of a New Zealand representative in the Soviet Union. Readers of the leaflet are asked to fill in and post a slip supporting the demand for an exchange of diplomatic representatives.
