MURDER CHARGE

YOUTH REMANDED TO ASHBURTON John Hector McAulay, who has been charged with the alleged murder of WiL helmlna Webster at Ashburton op MdMB 16, made another brief appearance Magistrate's Court in Christchurch yesterday, before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M. On the application of the police. MeAulay was remanded to appear at Ashburton on Tuesday, June 29. Mr D W Russell, for the accused, said he now understood that the reason why the police had asked for an adjournment on June 8 was because certain medical evidence was not then readyi In the circumstances he had no desire to oppose the application for the remand.
