PRICES OF POPULAR MEALS
CHARGES. DURING HOLIDAYS AND ABNORMAL HOURS Only minor changes were involved in the prices for popular meals at city restaurants and grill-rooms under the price order recently published by advertisements. the secretary of the Canterbury Employers’ Association (Mr H F. Rutland) said yesterday. The published announcement, however, had failed to make it clear, he said, that orders before 7 a.m. and after 10 p.m. on any day could carry an additional charge of not more than Cd a meal. Further provision, he said, was made in the order for an additional charge of not more than 3d a meal for any meal served on Christmas Day. Boxing Day, New Year’s Day. Good Friday, Easter Monday, Labour Day, or the King’s Birthday holiday.
