POSSIBILITY OF ARMY SERVICE QUESTION ASKED ABOUT A SUCCESSOR From Our Parliamentary Reporter WELLINGTON, June 10. The question of the appointment of a successor to the Controller of Commercial Broadcasting (Mr C. G. Scrimgeour) if he were called into camp for military service, was raised by Mr J. A. Lee (Democratic Soldier-Labour, Grey Lynn), in the Budget debate in the House of Representatives this evening. "X understand that the Controller ol Commercial Broadcasting is to be called in the course of a few days in terms of the proceedings in front of the Appeal Board some months ago," said Mr Lee, “I wonder if the Minister, in replying, could tell us who is to be appointed, if anyone is to be appointed, if the man to be appointed is a man who was ‘not necessary in New Zealand.’ or the person who took the controller’s lock off for its annual overhaul.”
