Otlra Tunnel Freight.—Freight hauled through the Otira tunnel from west to east last week amounted to 15,921 tons, compared with 17,172 tons in the corresponding week of Beckenham Parent Teachers’ Association.—The recently-formed Beckenham School Parent Teachers’ Association was addressed by Dr. Needham, a school medical officer, on “The Mental and Physical Health of the School Child.’’ A discussion followed.
