German Tiger Tank.~The Secretary of State for War (Sir James' Gragg), answering a question in the House of Commons, said that the German. Tiger tank weighed'from 55 to 60 tons. The front armour plates were four inches thick and the sides three and a quarter inches thick. The gun had a calibre of 8.8 centimetres. It weighed about a ton and a half and it threw an armour piecing shell weighing 201b 12oz, and also a high explosive shell. The tank's speed depended greatly on the surface of the ground.—Rugby, June 8.
