MUFTI ALLOWANCE DOUBLED
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. June 8. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) announced to-day that the War Cabinet had decided to increase the mufti allowance to all men discharged after overseas service to £25, instead of the present £l2 10s. In the case of men whose service overseas had been of short duration, and those who have served in New Zealand only, a proportional adjustment will be made.
