Hotel Fire Escapes .The condition of means of exit and br fire escapes a! licensed hotels within the central city area, was inspected by an officer of the Christchurch Fire Brigade recently, at the request of the Police Department, staled a report before the Christchurch Fire Board last evening, from the brigade snperinlen«ent (Mr A. Morrison). In general, the report stated, the means of exit •nd the condition of Hie fire escapes s ?M, s f ac tory. only minor recompMiaatioiis. chiefly involving repairs having been made.
