PEAK LOADS ON TRAMS

LIMIT IN SIGHT IN AUCKLAND

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 7. “The time appeal's to be approaching when the tramway services will not be able to cope with the passengers offering at peak hours," said the retiring chairman of the Auckland Transport Board (Mr J. Sayegh) at the annual meeting to-day. The board, he said, must look to the Government to introduce compulsory measures to give the relief necessary in the interests of the public and the staff. Mr W. H. Nagle was elected the new chairman of the board.
