PARISH MEETINGS
ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH Thanks to all church workers were Passed at the St. Matthew’s (St. Albans) parish annual meeting, and appreciation of the splenfnd response to the free-will giving was expressed. The following offlcers were elected:—Vicar’s warden, Mr R. H. Cotton; people’s warden, Mr A. Anderson: vestry, Messrs Dodd. Emerson, Grade. Mansell. A. C. Murray, Soanes. Reeve, Kinvig, Smith, and Carmine:; Synod representative, Mr Larmine; parish treasurer, Mr R. H. bmith; auditor Mr Compton. ST. LUKE’S CHURCH The annual meeting of parishioners ®f St. Luke’s Church was presided oyer by the vicar, the Rev. I. L. Richards. The balance-sheet showed the opurch finances to be in a sound posinon, the year closing with a credit ralance. ■V.The following officers were elected: "Dear's warden, Mr J. A. B. Lynch: jeople’s warden, Mr A. R. Pengelly; ■ estry, Messrs D. Ford. C. S. Manners, G. Palmer, G. C. Richards. J H Wear, H, S. Williams, and E. V. Worthlesion: honorary auditor, Mr W. R. McCallum. A women's committee was also Sleeted, with Mrs I, L. Richards as convener. During the evening a presentation 'jms made to Mr E, V. Worthington "ho has retired after many years’ service as vicar’s warden.
