Power Shortage in Hamilton.—To
conserve electricity during peak hours a representative meeting of Hamilton retailers has decided on a majority vote to close their premises at 5 p.m. on ordinary week-days and to observe similar hours on Fridays during the months of June, July, and August. This decision will become operative on June 8. The Mayor (Mr H. D. Caro) said that electric supply at the present time was not only serious, but desperate.—(P.A.) '
