ASHBURTON TEAM TO PLAY CANTERBURY The Ashburton representative Rugby football team to play Canterbury at Christchurch on Monday is as follows: — I; Behrns (Rakaia); J. W. Green (Air Force), C. R. CAPTAIN OF WEST COAST TEAM APPOINTED The management committee of the West Coast Rugby Union at its weekly meeting appointed R. R. King captain, D. Dewar vice-captain, and M. Olsen manager of the West Coast team to play Canterbury on Monday. Mr H. Clifford was appointed local manager of the visitors. It was decided to play a seven-a-slde match between two Cobden school teams between the two spells of the Canterbury-West Coast match. ASSOCIATION CODE A match was played at the Hillsborough Domain, Woolston, last week-end, between a combined team of Ace and Millers, Ltd., and a Fijian team, for the Ace Shield. The teams drew with one goal each, and a further match will be played this week-end.
