BOXING
CHRISTCHURCH OFFICERS ELECTED With so many boxers in the forces the activities of the Christchurch Boxing and Sports Club, which performs the functions of a boxing association, have been confined to giving co-operation in services tournaments and in keeping the organisation and assets intact for an immediate resumption of tournaments when normal times return. This report was made to the annual meeting last evening by the president (Mr M. J. Christie). The following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr F. E. Johnston; vice-patron, the Mayor of Christchurch; president, Mr M. J. Christie; vice-presidents, eight were elected; committee, Messrs H. L. B. Anderson, S. Oates, L. T. Annand, E. Pocock, B, Rennell, J. Musson, and S. Mangan; honorary medical officers, 13 were appointed; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Leeming; auditor, Mr W. S. Newburgh,
