White; match committee, Mesdames McDonald, White, and Wardlaw; social committee, Mesdames Sweeney, White, Hampton, Dale, Bromley, and Wllkinlon. The third annual meeting of the Cashmere Garden Club was presided over by Mrs N. G. Mitchell. The annual report showed that the club had enjoyed a successful year. OBITUARY
MRS A. DUNCAN Mr? Dolce Ann Duncan, a former lady editor of the “Canterbury Times,' 1 die' in Christchurch on Monday at the age of 81 years. She was the widow of Mr Andrew Duncan, who was district traffic manager at Wellington, and later at Auckland for some years, Before her marriage Mrs Duncan was Miss Dolce Cabot, a member of a wellknown South Canterbury family of pioneers, who had come from Jersey. Channel Islands. Mrs Duncan was educated in Christchurch end was an active member of the Canterbury branch of the Federation of University Women. While litfin? in Auckland she helped to launch the monthly magazine known as the "Mirror." She had lived in Christchurch for about 16 years.
