When Germany Cracks It is the belief of Mr J. Roberts, of the Christchurch Trades Hall, that when German morale is sufficiently lowered, probably as the result of a military reverse, the first crack in the Nazi edifice will appear among the State railway workers. Speaking before the Businessmen’s Club in Christchurch yesterday, Mr Roberts said that Germany in a crisis depended upon this railways system, which carried 80 per cent, of that country’s goods. Though Gestapo agents had been carefully placed among these workers, he believed that when the time came they would revolt.
