MR A. S. PATERSON’S WILL GIFTS TO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (pbbbs association telegram.) DUNEDIN. April 29. The following public bequests are made under the will of Mr A. s. Paterson, whose death occurred last week. University of Otago . - 5,000 St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Dunedin .. 500 Dunedin Public Art Gallery / Society (incorporated) 1,000 National Council of the Young Men’s Christian Associations of New Zealand, to be applied for the particular Work of that council • • 1,000 Dunedin Amenities and Town Planning Society 500 Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, free of duty as an endowment for augmenting by way of the income therefrom inadequate salaries of ministers in the said church 10,000 Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, the following legacies, in each case for the purpose of an endowment for, and so that the income only shall be applied in aid of the objects mentioned in " connexion With SUCh legacy: (a) For beneficiary fund (aged and infirm ministers’ fund and widows* and orphans’ fund) in connexion with the ChUfCh ~ la,ooo (b) For Knox College, North - Bast Valley, Dtmedin . • 10,000 (e) For the A. S. Paterson Library ih connexion with Knox College ~ 3,000 (d) For the Presbyterian Women’s Training institute, Cumberland street, Dunedin .. 3,000 (C) For St. Margaret’s College, Leith street, Dunedin ~ 6,000 (f) For . a library ,iri connexion with St. Mat- , gafet’s College .. 1,500 (g) For a women’s beneficiary fund in connexion with the church for , the benefit of single women missionaries in the foreign field .. soo Subject to the payment of private legacies and annuities, the residue of the estate is given to the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand. The Guardian Trust and Executors Company Of NOW Zealand, Ltd., was appointed executor and trustee under the will.
