BRYNDWR, FENDALTON, AND PAPANUI (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) > WELLINGTON, September 30. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary in Charge of Housing, Mr J. A. Lee, announced to-day that land for housing had been purchased in the following places;—, Wellington Lower Hutt—Hart avenue, one house; Waiwhetu road, four houses; Main Hutt road and Charleston avenue, two houses; St. James’ avenue, one house. Pahiatua —Police reserve in Sedcole and Tyndall streets, eight houses.
Auckland St. Hellers —Riddell road, one house; The Terrace, eight houses; Long Drive, two houses. Remuera —Koroha avenue, one house; Benson road, five houses; Portland, Ingram, Spencer and Walter streets, 24 houses. Mount Albert —Corner of Harlston and Glentui roads, three houses; Phyllis street, two houses. Mount Roskill —Queensway, two houses; Fernleigh avenue, one house; Kingston avenue, one house. Point Chevalier —Wainui avenue, three ■houses; Port road, six houses.
Christchurch Bryndwr—Jeffreys road, three houses; Garreg road, three houses; Idris and Plynlimon roads, three houses. Fendalton—Thornycroft road, one house. Papanui—Halton stree.t and Urunga avenue, eight houses. Ashburton—Wilson street and Tevors road, 11 houses. Bluff— Doyle and Gore streets, 15. houses.
