THEATRE WORKERS' DISPUTE
-CONCILIATION COUNCIL ADJOURNS ' (PKEaa IgSOCIATIOK TELCOBAII.) WELLINGTON, September 29. Partial agreement was reached in Wellington, torday, when the Front of the House Theatre Workers* dispute was resumed before a Conciliation Council. Issues still unsettled when the dispute was adjourned until October 18 included wages and annual holidays. Though the wages of workers on performance rates were not agreed to, assessors representing both parties der cided upon a minimum weekly wage of £4,10s for adult males employed as .attendants in picture theatres, and £2 6s for youths and females.. The Canterbury, Marlborough, Wellington, and Taranaki industrial districts were agreed upon as the scope of the award.
