Have they * • . as far as women are concerned ? How many extra luxuries have you bought—without the help of ‘time payment* ... how much of the so-called higher wages have you saved ? Fine words about ‘ shorter hours * and ‘ increased wages* can*t hide the fact that the cost of living is up. Rents are up, coal is up, clothing is up, and groceries are well up. Even vegetables, meat and dairy supplies are up far more than the increase (if any) in housekeeping money . If the Savage Government were returned to power, the cost of living would rise yet higher still.- Nothing is more certain than that.
