WOMEN'S CLUB HOLDS ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Christchurch Women's Amateur Swimming and Life-Saving Club was held recently, the president, Mrs W. Brown, presiding over a good attendance of members. The annual report and balance-sheet, which showed the club to be maintaining a very satisfactory position, were adopted without discussion. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs W. Brown; vice-presidents, Mesdames E. L. Rutherford, M. J. Ballantyne, J. P. Whetter, M. E. Lyons, C. Bryant, M. Cordy, E. F. Stewart, and Miss H. Brown; captain, Mrs H. Drummond; vice-captain, Miss V. Stewart; secre-tary-treasurer. Miss D. Brown; management committee, Mesdames J. Cairney, M. Graham. N. Coburn, Misses B. Hobson, G. English, and J. Bowman; delegate to Canterbury Centre, Miss D. Brown; delegate to Royal Life-Saving Society, Miss V. Stewart honorary auditor, Mr S. K. Bassett. It was decided to hold the "opening i splash" on October 20.
