— : —♦ —: —' JEWISH SUPERNUMERARIES SHOT (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) RUGBY, September 22. An official advice from Palestine states that the Arab general strike at Haifa has been called off. The situation is normal. Two Jewish supernumeraries, guarding labourers in the Ramleh sub-district, were shot dead and another wounded. A British sapper was seriously injured while removing a bomb from the railway line near Majdal. The Mukhtar of Deir Esh, a Shekh village, and five members of his family were shot dead by bandits.
