VISUAL EDUCATION
- BOARD SEEKS POLICY OF DEPARTMENT The Canterbury Education Board decided yesterday morning to write to the Education Department asking if the department had formulated any policy on visual education afid what provision was .to be made for suitable rooms and buildings. ■ The matter was brought forward by Mr J. T. Langley, who said that visual education was taking an important place in school work, and • suggested that the department be recommended ;to provide one. room which could be 'readily darkened in future school buildings. In most schools at present it took a considerable time to darken a room. Mr C. S. Thompson said* that it would be advisable first to find out what the policy of the department was. It was possible that in the future visual education would not be given in the schdol itself but at some outside place where the children would be taken. ; The board then decided to write to ' the department. 1 |
