Riccarton, RESOLUTION In pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by/ “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” , and by “The By-Laws Act, 1910,” and all and each and every other power and authority in that behalf enabling it, the Riccarton Borough Council art.- ' ing on behalf of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough ■ of Riccarton, by special order, make and ordain this By-Law. The short title of this By-law shall, be “The Riccarton Borough Council By.. Law No. 7 (1938),” and it shall cook into force on the 12th day of October, ■ 1938 and shall be read with and form: part of the Riccarton Borough Council ■' By-Law No. 1 (1913) in like manner’ ; as if the same had been enacted therein : in lieu of Part 4 Clauses 110. 11l and; 112 thereof. ' . The By-Law revokes part 5 o( The , Riccarton Borough Council By-Law No.' 3 (1916) Clauses 46 and 54, both in-’ elusive, and ordains the hours within which large cattle other than, cows in milk and small cattle may be driven ■ loose in any street in the Borough and.-" also ordains the number of any mob - or herd of large cattle or. small cattle. that may be driven loose upon any,, streets in the Borough and also makesparticular provision as to the hours during which and. the size of the mobs in which large or small cattle may be; driven loose through the streets of the Borough on the day of t*sgpreek on which the usual -weekly of stock is held at the saley£.w, K of the Canterbury Saleyards Company, Ltdi and on the day preceding and the day succeeding such auction sale. The By-Law also delegates to the Town Clerk power to dispense w)th the full compliance of any of the provisions of the By-Law if the conditions are such that full compliance .would needlessly or injuriously affect .the ' - course of business or cause loss or in- - convenience to any person without a • corresponding benefit to the common- j ity or would be likely to cause suffer- i ing or injury or deterioration to livestock. The By-Law authorises the Town Clerk to grant such dispensation of the By-Law upon such reesonable terms and conditions as the Town Clerk may consider fit to meet the circumstances of any particular, case. . ■ A copy of the proposed By-Law is deposited at the office of the Borough Council at Riccarton and is to remain open for the inspection of the public during office hours until the ordinary meeting of the Council to be held on the 3rd day of October 1938. * DATED at Riccarton this 7th day of September. 1938.
