MAGISTRATE’S COURT
For driving a motor-car at night without lights, Arthur Thorpe was convicted and ordered to pay costs, 10s, at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Mr F. F. Reid, S.M., was on the bench. „ At a sitting of the Children’s Court, three boys, aged 17, 16 and 14 years, were charged -with discharging an airgun in Park terrace. Senior-Sergeant D. Wilson said that for some time the Borough Council had been put to trouble and expense through boys shooting at street lamps. The oldest boy was severely admonished by the Magistrate and fined 10s and ordered to pay costs 10s. The second boy was convicted and' fined 2s 6d, and the youngest boy was convicted and discharged. Women's Golf Championship
The first women’s championship for the golf clubs of Banks Peninsula, which have been inaugurated by the Diamond Harbour Ladies’ Golf Club, will be held at Diamond Harbour on Sunday the senior championship cup has been presented by Mr W. de Thier and the junior cup by Mr C. K. Whale. Medal matches have been arranged in conjunction with the championships and putting competitions have been arranged.
