OBITUARY
MR JOHN MILLER (nuts* association nuo«iK.) INVERCARGILL, September 20. The death occurred suddenly this morning of Mr John Miller, Mayor of Invercargill. He was in his fifth term cf office, and in his fourth successive term as president of the Southland League. . * ■ Mr Miller was a member for several years of the Southland Hospital Board. a member of the executive of the South Islands Travel Association, and a member of the executive of the New Zealand Municipal Electric Supply Association. Mr Miller was born in Scotland and began his career as a chemist He then practised for many years as a veterinarian, and went to India with remounts, but after a short period came to Invercargill and set up in He contested the Invercargill seat' at the last election in the Nationalists' interests. ■ - BLATTENGATA HEROUT (whtsp nm AssociATioa—coftokmit.)
