CANTERBURY YEOMANRY CAVALRY
Though mechanisation is taking place in the' territorials, the horse is still essential. The Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry will welcome recruits, especially those with a knowledge of horses. Recent activities included a well attended parade under Lieutenant A. Morten, when gun drill and'instruction in mechanism were carried out. At this parade, recruits whohave recently joined up, were taking an active part in the training. Recently a squadron of the, Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry held its annual dance at Kaiapoi, the guest of honour being Lieu-tenant-Colonel A. J. Nlcoll, who is Commanding Officer of tho Third Compolite Mounted Rifle Recipient.
