FIDO'S DIARY
Saturday: My mistress was home from school to-day. so I had a good | time; She throws tennis balls for ' me to chase. I do love this sport. -Early in the morning my mistreat/a father let the horses out from the paddock.. I always, wait .till they start running, then I. pounce out at them. This is very puffing sport, but, 6h, so exciting!
Another-' favourite trick of mine is chasing hens. 'They are such fat, lazy -things that I long to -make them run-.-The silly things flap tfieir wings and squawk. • Lately-I have, been .Very- disappointed as .an old black rooster joins in the fun and, chases me. but I, run away, out 'of reach of His'sharp beak. , .'... Monday:" I am feeling very angry and sore to-day as another .do*— ah enemy of mine—trespassed on my master's property. While 1 was busy "chasing him he attacked me and bit my neck.' He was so savage I thought he was going_;to kill me. but. -his master pulled .him off. I did feel humiliated to think that I was beaten in public. 'MOUNTAIN STAR-'
