Statements that the Opawa rubbish dump was in an unsatisfactory. condition were made at the monthly meeting of the Burgesses’ Association on Wednesday evening, when it was decided to .ask the Christchurch City Council to rectify the position. . / The following . resolution- wah carried:— ■'
“That a recent-, inspection of the Opawa rubbish dump> 7 revealed the fact that the dump is in' an -unsatisfactory and inr.uiltary and this association, appesli to the Christchurch City Council to abate the nuisance as soon as possible.”
