CALEDONIAN SOCIETY
FORTNIGHTLY SOCIAL HELD
The Canterbury Caledonian Society held its fortnightly social on Wednesday evening, when there was a good attendance of members and friends. Mr C. S. Thomas (president) presided, and was supported by Mr George Sey. •' The programme,., arranged by Messrs R. Grade and-A. Scott, consisted of the following items:—Selections, Society's Pipe Band: song, Mr Richards; seann triubjlais, Maisie Elliott; violin solo, Master L. Scott: song. Mrs Pearce; selections of Scottish airs, Working Men’s Club Orchestra, under the baten of Mr C. James; tap dance, Master Max Winterboum; piano-ac-cordion, Mr Carson; song, Mr B. Wilson; song, Mr G; Campbell; Irish reel, Misses Joyce Fraser, Ngaire Brown. Runa Scott, and Maisie Elliott. Mr G. C. Russell w.as accompanist and Mr George Bradford’s ’ orchestra supplied music lor dancing. ,
