A BUSY PERIOD
TRAINING OP CIVIL RESERVE PILOTS
The Canterbury Aero Club is experiencing a busy period at present with the training of pilots at various stages of instruction. In addition to the tuition of ordinary club members the time of the instructor. Squadron Leader G. L. Stedman, is fully, occupied with the training of pilots for the civil reserve, and those for. entry Into the Royal Zealand Air Force. The club at present has its full complement of nine trainees for the civil reserve, and two extras who-have begun their training in other and are now resident in Christchurch. The usual allotment to the club for the air force is three trainees, but four are now receiving instruction. The civil reserve pilots are required to reach the “B" licence standard before becoming qualified. Arrangements are being made for a club landing competition to be held at Wigrapi during the week-end.
