YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS IN THE HOUSE [From Our Parliamentary Reporter.! WELLINGTON, September 14. With the end of the session pace on, 14 bills were passed during to-day’s sitting qf the House of Representatives. These were the Stock Amendment Bill, the Stallions Bill, the Education Amendment Bill, the Native Housing Bill, the Local Legislation Bill, the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Bill, and the Cornwall Park Trustees Rating Exemption Bill. In addition, the following local bills were passed:—The Nelson City Empowering Bill, the Greymouth Harbour Board Loan Bill, the Lower Clutha River Improvement Bill, the Southland Land Drainage Amendment Bill, the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board Empowering Bill, the Napier Airport Amendment Bill, and the Wellington City Housing Bill. These, with the four measures passed yesterday—the Agricultural Emergency Regulations Confirmation Bill, the King George V Memorial Fund Bill,'the Statutes Amendment Bill, and the Finance Bill—made a very satisfactory total for the two days. The House rose at 12.34 a.m.
